The Light Tackle Anglers “Pompano Crab” lure is a patent pending re-imagination of the traditional jigging soft plastic crab imitation. Instead of relying on stock jig heads, Light Tackle Anglers has redesigned the head to be distal from the hook eye. In doing this, the Crab presents a more natural jigging bait that suspend vertically in the water column or bouncing off the sandy bottom. The hook point is always facing in the upward position when jigging, providing more hook-ups when jigging for Pompano. An added design feature is the conical head shape, which not only slows the bait drop, but can be used to displace bottom sand and silt to make the Crab behave like a fleeing crustacean.
